What Does the Central Coast Branch Do?

Updated: May 16

So here it is in a nutshell....

We are a non-profit group that does fundraising to provide support & medical aids for people living with Multiple Sclerosis. Our branch operates under the guidance of MS Plus. We are very lucky that the NDIS is available these days, but unfortunately not everyone has access to it. Not everyone automatically qualifies and there are guidelines in which people are eligible.

For example, anyone over the age of 65 is unable to apply. There is My Aged Care for over 65's, but more often than not, there isn't funding for specialised equipment. That's where we come in and help. Another example is someone that may have applied for the NDIS but not yet approved, or may have been rejected.

We don't want anyone to fall through the cracks and we can help provide assistance. Donna Langdon is one of our amazing members who deals a lot with the NDIS and helps a lot of people with their applications or appeals. Donna also holds a support group once a month at Physiolates in Holgate. It's a great source of information and highly recommended.

If you need help, whether it be needing to be connected with support groups, or whether you may need a cooling vest or a shower stool, please reach out and put a request in for some assistance or email ccmsb.president@gmail.com
